Letters, petitions, printed bills, and other documents submitted to the Governor concerning legislation, 1884-1974 (bulk 1970-1974).

The series consists of miscellaneous letters, petitions, printed bills, and documents submitted to the governor relating to proposed legislation. Most of the documents date from 1970-1974 and resemble the modern bill jacket. Similar records are found in Series A1069, Senate Bill Files. The one early petition (1884) may be a fragment from a larger series, possibly related to Executive Chamber blotters (1859-1935).
